I remember when I thought my 60gb Hd was gonna hold all the information in the world.

I think I will wait until the 5gb version comes out heh heh

What are others experience of WD? I have a WD Elements external USB drive - 500GB and have just sent the second one back (so that's two lots of expensive return packaging for me!) - so far two units have failed with very little use with the same problem! Elements range are probably cheapest made but 2TB is an awful lot of important backup data etc to lose in one go!

I've got a WD Elements 500GB drive and two WD My-Book drives (both version 1's, I heard that the version 2's weren't as reliable).
I've had them all for over a year and they've been fine.
Admitedly, they've mainly been used to store data I want to keep, so I've not been constantly writing and deleting stuff to/from them.

For the purpose I bought them though, they've been great.

2000 gb - what the hell do you need that for? Its just getting silly now!
Why don't they just build an infinity drive and be done with it....
