An Electric Strimmer that doesnt constantly snap its strim cord !

POSTED BY: Goldstink 1 week, 1 day ago

Do these exist under £50

My Dad has already tried Flymo Mini Strim (Whole cord used in 5 mins), Black and Decker GL315 (Same) and now the Bosch ART 23 easy strim (Same)

These are all rubbish. He has a small garden so not really worth spending much and he only strims/edges grass not difficult plants but the cords just are not as good as they used to be.

He is going to try the Spear Jackson from Woolworths. I'll keep you posted but would appreciate some input.

Help or I'll have to dig and the shears. lol

Thanks gang

What material is your father strimming?

I did 2 gardens with the Bosch over the weekend...

The cord never broke once!

Is he strimming the fence?

I've just took one of them useless Flymo thingies back to B&Q - The cord auto winders are useless!

I replaced it with a "Bosch ART 26 Easytrim Accu" £49.99

http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/na...isSearch=true#

It has those proper plastic blades you see on hover mowers - it even comes with 10 blades in the box.

I tackled the 'difficult' lawn and managed 30 mins off the included battery and I used 4 blades - which are very easy to replace when they break compared to when the stupid cord twists up!
