If there's one thing cats won't do, it's scratch something you want them to scratch - like this!

Agreed :D

I've had two cats and we've had a large scratching post in the past and all the play features just get ignored!
Voted hot anyways

Holy ****, 3 stone!
All I can suggest is you put him/her on a diet and more exercise.
We had a dearly loved 'fat cat', which we always poked fun about - but she didn't even make it to her 9th birthday. My father always fed her food scraps which eventually took it's toll on her.

Thank god our cat now refuses to eat anything but cat food. Her idea of going outside though is walking to the top of the garden and then back in

I know, I have tried to put him on a diet and he has lost some weight...he is a massive cat though.....really gigantic..but like you said I would nt want to kill him with kindness(or cheese and onion crisps and country ham)... ...cant really get him to exercise....other than walking to the food bowl...he runs if you open a can of custard though

I can't tell if you mean you feed that to him now or not? But be careful if you do, onion (even in flavouring) is really bad for cats!

Holy macaroni !!! That’s half the size of an Alsatian !!!

Don’t want to meet that in a dark ally …. Or a well lit one for that matter - that is a seriously big cat.

This scratching post is only suitable for kittens and very small cats, go to pet world for bigger ones – but they cost an arm and a leg, though if you don’t, I expect your cat will have yours instead!

Yup!

Onions, Garlic, & Related Root Vegetables Onions contain a substance (N-propyl disulphide) which destroys red blood cells in the cat, causing a form of anemia called Heinz body anemia. Garlic contains a similar substance in a lesser amount.
