Help needed please...rude neighbour! any suggestions/ideas will help!

POSTED BY: drmsa 1 week, 1 day ago

I really need some advice here and it would be very kind if someone could help us.

I live in a block of flats in London and have a very rude female neighbor.

Basically when I had purchased my property, a parking space was allocated with the flat. I am a doctor by profession and I tend to do loads of odd hours. Yesterday when I returned back from work at midnight the neighbour had parked in my parking place. I had rang and spoke to her to remove her car and she replied that she will be down in 5 minutes. After waiting for 10 min i rang her bell again but there was no answer. So i went to her door and started knocking. She clearly was tryign to ignore me, but i could cleary hear her laughing with someone else. I threatened to call the police but she replied that " You can take the car and shove it up your a**"!!

The police were of no help and said to ring the management company. I rang the company in the morning but they said that i need to ring your solicitor and sort it out yourself.

Any suggestions of what i could do next???

Could you get her car clamped? That's what would happen if you parked somewhere you were not supposed to.

Try the citizans advice bureau. They may be able to help you word a letter to her threatening to take things further if she doesn't comply. Then if she doesn't, a letter from your soliciter would probably be good.

Does she own her flat or rent it? You could try complaining to her landlord if she rents.

Alternately let her tyres down whenever she parks in your space!

Will your management company allow you to install anything in your bay to stop her parking there - this sort of thing >

Try to sort this out as nicely as you can, write her a note explaining that you are a doctor and why you come and go at odd times.
If this doesn't work then try citizens advice before you consult with a solicitor.
Put up a sign saying " This parking space is allocated to number?"
Good Luck

That must be really annoying. I agree, try the citizens advice. They know everything lol. There must be something that can be done cause you've paid for something that you are being allowed to use.

If its your private property, cant you clamp it yourself?
all you need is a sign and a clamp and a hefty fine for releasing it...
