Nightswimmer,
Struggling to find that myself - it seems that it'll either be an AMD Geode 533mhz processor or VIA 500mhz/1ghz processor - either way, more than adequate for it's intended use for an internet/office machine.
Alternatively, would make a great low cost (and power efficient) server.
Comes with 256mb RAM by default, with an option to upgrade to 512mb at checkout, so assume that the memory isn't soldered on to the motherboard.

Xubuntu is a cut down version of Ubuntu for low specced machines, which okay isnt an issue for people wanting a basic machine, but I have read of issues running OpenOffice on Xubuntu so I would double check if people are buying one for general home office tasks..

£20 delivery for a unit that weighs no more than a hardback book? Come on guys, thats a rip off surely?
The overall unit is appealing - let down by the horrific delivery - (unless you can combine items to get it lowered, or free) Jer

So has anyone actually tried ordering one at this price?
As soon as you clcik on the "buy" button, it drops you into the configuration menu.
The starting price comes up as £199, not £99. I've been able to get this down to £149 by excluding XP, keyboard and mouse. Strangely, increasing the disk size from 40GB to 80GB doesn't change the price.

How do you get down to the headline £99 - or is that a misprice?

If you remove XP, Keyboard and Mouse it comes down to £175 including VAT and delivery. Seems to be a misprice.

I saw these a couple of months ago and at the time they were only selling these devices to businesses and not to Home users. You may find that this is still the case.

It looks to me like the configuration menu is not for the £99 version
I can't see a way to configure it with the Xubuntu operating system

Go for the "mandrake installation CD" option - knocks £45 off. However the price is still about £50 higher than the £99 headline. I can't see how you can buy at that price
