You should be able to pick fans up dirt cheap this summer. Due to the lack of a decent summer last year, most retailers and importers were left with vast quantities of unsold stock.

Considering another person on HUKD had found some at Tescos for about half the price and this seems to be about average for them anyway, Im' not sure this deal is as hot as the cureent weather.....

(another example http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4251831/Trail/searchtext>FAN.htm )

Be warned...we have one of these and have never been able to use it because it is really noisy. Also the lowest setting is still very powerful - blows everything in the room off tables, so not good for the office !

Yes, this fan is VERY noisy even on the lowest setting, don't expect to get any ZZzz's with this thing running.

Build quality is very good though - much better than the Tesco deal, But much noisier

Sainsburys also have these type of fans for £19.99, seen in store today.

No idea of quality or noise levels though...

I bought one of these bionaire fans a few years back for approx £50.00

As noted by others, this is noisy. In fact, it is the noisiest fan I have ever owned - by far! Even on the lowest setting it sounds like a light aircraft and blows papers off my desk despite being 10 feet away.

Not really suitable for the front room, office or bedroom but great for a small warehouse/workshop!!!

However, if like me you are particularly heat sensitive - this is great. If you need a fan which makes your eyes water, this is the one for you! It delivers an intense, blast of cool air which is unprecedented in a domestic unit. Kind of impractical (for most purposes), yet unbeatable in terms of cool air delivery.
