BBC Steals Charity Money

POSTED BY: myaser88 1 week, 10 hours ago

i have always been skeptical regarding all these BBC 'relief' programmes that are broadcast as they are generally comedy/rating shows and all the money is spent on payin for people that get free trips to africa and the following is just a small level fraud that is being committed.

Anything to do with eastern europe more importantly the demonising of Serbia, and to a certain extent the happenings in China.

Although credit where its due, they did pay it back with interest, without OFCOM or whoever forcing them. As for "biased" news, its a darn sight better than any other news programme on TV, and its one of the few with an air of professionalism left to it, not all dumbed down approaches.

As for ITV.. well thats another league altogether with stealing money from the public... As for giving an award to the wrong show, how did that happen?

Lets not forget the fact that a lot of money HAS gone to good causes, lots from people who wouldn't have donated otherwise.

BBC news and western news are self censored and biased heavily in some news reporting. In a free press world, the bias is surprising too much! Of course in an autocratic state the media reporting is even more biased, but that's to be expected..but for a free press, why? For example, western news is now virtually devoid of dead bodies and red blood (which the viewers find disturbing) since the Vietnam war and Korean War. When they report on international news they rarely express the comments of politic leaders around the world except those of UK PM and US president. I bet you seldom see BBC and ITV reporting on a wide spread of opinions by other leading political leaders around the world. When was the last time that you did see the big world stage political leaders from Japan, China, Germany, France, Italy ...commenting on world affairs shoulder to shoulder with the UK PM? What is get in the direction of one country but what about the directions from 100 countries around the world? Whenever you see factual news reported ask yourself how often do you see academics, historians, engineers, doctors involved ! For example, in world affairs involving other parts of the world did you ever see professors from the top ranking universities around the world making wise and informed observations to a BBC or ITV news reporter in the 9:00 and 10:00 news? Another example: on matters regarding Islam , have you ever seen an Oxford University Professor in Islamic Studies on TV expressing the views objectively instead of some biased person from the street? When it came to mad cow disease did you see an interview with a professor of biology or did you see news reporting of politicians who have no scientific skills? For all the UK foreign correspondents most of them don't even understand or speak the local language. How do they report if they could not even read or speak the local language. A van that is marked in foreign text as an ambulance is reported as a police van, is an example! In UK, the gun crime is reported as a "black" crime by the news media. However how come when it comes to sex abuse, children abuse in care homes and serial murders they are not reported as "white" crime....I bet you will find it very hard to cite even one black serial murderer or sexual abuser or a care home abuser in the same scale as: Sutcliffe; FRED AND ROSE WEST;HAROLD SHIPMAN;Ian Brady and Myra Hindley; Steve Wright; Jersey youth care homes;Bryn Estyn children's home in Wrexham..... Is this not not bias? Did you ever see news reporting on what the Chinese and Russians and the Japanese think of the middle east for every event? Did you ever see special new events on India, China, Russia, Africa... on a positive theme! No, they are always biased to bad news! So what about human rights in China, India, Russia....; does the new report tell you that there is more human rights in these countries in their current period of industrial revolution than that for UK in its industrial revolution in the Victorian era when people in UK were supposed the richest on this planet?

To over come this biased reporting I would suggest readers learn other languages and hook up to the satellite or internet radio, you will be amazed how news is reported in so many different ways for the same international event!

its no surprise about the bbc, they have been ripping us off for years - its happened on radio 1 where i have phoned in for competitions myself and even on blue peter - a childrens programme where they faked a winner...WTF? - all these programmes with premium rate line phone line companies which are subsidiaries of the BBC i.e. THEY ARE THE BBC and have been taking our money for phone ins aswell as making us pay for tv we dont want! passing the buck down to the subsidiary company is just them trying to shirk the blame off themselves (onto themselves infact???)

they are paying people with celebrity status untold amounts because they 'demand it' - there is a huge row at the moment with Celebrity Come Dancing because the judges are greedy and jealous of ITVs X-Factor judges and want more money? they are demanding upto £90,000 each for 12 weeks work? and now this has happened the professional dancers on the show are also now complaining about ONLY being on £24,000 per series and they want more money too. apparantly jonathon ross is on £300,000 a year???? where is this going to end? scrap the BBC's hold on license fees (i call it BIG BAD CORPORATION) - put adverts on them and save everyone £140 or whatever it is a year x millions of homes = billions per year . the BBC take liberties with our money - start rubbish channels like BBC3 with nothing on but **** that no one watches and think they are providing us with a service? (also not everyone has sky/freeview/virgin and doesnt even have access to these channels!)

as for itv and ofcom - itv are robbing ****s and ofcom are no better for not replying to complaints.

i complained to ofcom and ITV last year about a late night quiz program on ITV that started every night after midnight. it so happened my mum became mentally ill last year - although we hadnt realised how ill she had got (as she was good at hiding it) - we found out she was ringing these programs 100 times a night after the fact - apparantly 100 times per night was the limit that people are allowed to call per day. at £1.50 per call x 100 being £150 plus VAT every night for about 10 days added upto just under £1800.00 - she was a helpless pensioner and thought it was free in the state she was in. when we complained to BT (as they shouldnt have let it goes this far) ITV and ofcom - we were told we had to pay the bill by BT and ITV and ofcom didnt even reply!

these tv channels and phone lines make me sick - i refuse to call any of them anymore and more fool the people that are sucked in and watch the rubbish they produce. imo the license fee should be abandoned and let the BBC advertise like hundreds of other channels do. we have got used to these adverts now - whats another 2 channels and a few radio programmes.

apologies - end of rant

Hang on, why should BT have done something? Nothing to do with them, they just provide the service.

If some bloke gets on the bus, to a cliff, and jumps off, should the bus company have responsibility, no.

In truth many clever and smart public relations or so called communications officers are experts in mind psychology... in reality people like advertising and the "dreams" rather than reality, viewers like exciting and manipulated reality show, any honest programming rarely draw huge viewing audience. These smart people know people like a good show and drama. They know viewers like fun, drama, theatre, lies, sex, scandal, rip offs...... they know viewers like lies with an exhilarated show rather than truth with a boring show, I mean who would want to watch Open University programmes at 20:00! As for rip offs, as long as everyone is doing it, they cannot all be wrong! I mean with regard to flouting the competition rules, these people knew full well the rules, and it was not just a few people but thousands of them, since virtually every one in UK grew up with the Beano, Dandy, Cadbury choc competitions and surely they have read all those competition rules on sweet wrappers, crisps packets, cereal packets, detergent competitions, ...lottery tickets rules, local raffles... my God, if these editors did not know the rules.. impossible as editor and broadcast people are men of letters.
