A good remake which stands on its own two feet next to the original.

While not particularly scary, I consider this much more of a "survival horror" film than any of the Resident Evil movies.

Not a fan of horror films, but saw this at the cinema, was great, though I think there may be some sort of uncut/extended versions(s) out there - worth checking some of the dvd sites on:

If only someone would have made Resident Evil using the game story lines with the gore and maybe some of the tension. I'll be honest, haven't seen the Resident Evil films, but seeing that they've added characters not in the game... not too confident. I think maybe a late-night tv series with gore and backstory of the games.

Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube was one of the best games i've played in ages and had the tension required of horror. Can't wait for Resident Evil 5
