Sounds like we are both after a similar spec tv but it's not easy is it

Anybody know of a decent 42" 1080p 100hz lcd tv that's good at handling standard def content and can be used at full 1080p res with a PC for under £1k?

Just when I think I've found a decent one there's always something that lets it down

the Panny is a good tv but it's not full HD.... max res of 1024x768

@ludichris, how about the Toshiba 42Z3030D? It was on this site at around £850, if that's within your budget.

It has everything we need and looks great. The only thing I'm not sure about is the conflicting reports on how it handles SD

whenver i have watched anything on a plasma panel, its always like the lip sync is out...also, football is worse than ever on the panels I have seen in Plasma.

i found football picture worse on plasma too, thought it was just me ! tempted to get plasma but risky as i do a lot of gaming and screen burn is still around on plasma models
