I think I'll give that a go, the ice cream at the pub was a bit weird, it was nice but it had a bit of a tang but no where near as bad as Asda one. It's almost like an off milk tang and it's gross.
Weird.
What I like is to get a Marks & Spencers meringue nest, pour some Tesco Light Choice Fromage Frais on that and sprinkle with raspberries. That's a yummy desert that's not to too high in calories/fat. You can use Strawberries, blueberries or other fruits if you prefer but that will probably put the calories up a bit.
Have you tried Skinny Cows? They're quite nice. I'm not so keen on some of the newer flavours, but they are a pretty good alternative to 'real' ice cream.
