Do note that if you were thinking of this for Windows Vista 'Readyboost' use, that Kingston state
"Windows ReadyBoost not supported" ie presumably it doesn't meet the speed/cycle requirements :(

Readyboost only supports upto 4GBs iirc, so its not really worth investing in a USB stick bigger than that for readyboost (plus the fact that readyboost is pretty much useless in the first place - you're MUCH better off just buying more RAM, especially with DDR2 so cheap).

I'd go for the faster PNY Attache Optima for only £2 extra.

And there's no cap to lose

This one doesn't have a cap- it's retractable.

Usual price is £19.99 by the way, so not that bad if you don't feel like ordering online and waiting.

I think in this case 'Crossbow' your spot on the money the PNY is superior it’s faster and has more features such as security where as the Kingston is a basic model in there range, just depends on your circumstances me personally I’m going to buy both.! Just sent my old Kingston DataTraveler II through the wash and can’t be without one for work and leisure and been able to walk into a store and buy at this price is a bargain however because the online one is a better bargain and I know the slow write speeds on this model will do my nut I have to have the faster model.

Also the PNY model does have a system of protecting the connector without losing a detachable cap so just as good.

Voted Hot on both posts.!
