I bought a desktop cooling fan at the Co-Op in Chatteris, Cambridgeshire today. The 12" models were £4.49. They also had 9" ones for £3.49.
The deal is in store. It is not online. If you click the "go to deal" link it tries to show you an outdated list of food offers, and the fan isn't listed there either. To buy the fan, you need to go to a Co-Op shop. They had them in Chatteris. I don't know about elsewhere in the country.
The 12" model has 3 speeds, with push button controls. The head oscillates. It weighs 2.5kg and consumes 41W of power. It is a Prem-I-Air PDFH12.
Its not a thing of beauty, but its cheap and it works.
I found a picture of it at Debenhams, who are selling it for £14
