I bought this a couple of days ago, but with 2 disc drives and the 500 GB HDD, if I waited to today I would of saved £7. But it doesn't really matter.

For less than another £100 I upped the spec to include an E8200 processor, 16x DVD+/-RW & 16x DVD Drives and a Belkin 802.11g Cable/DSL Wireless Router (which I really need cos mine just packed up!) taking it up to £363.66 delivered.

I know I would need to add a decent graphics card for some of the higher end games but what do you guys think of this spec for a decent all rounder?

if your thinking about using it for games why not try this : http://hotukdeals.com/item/182693/xf...-256mb-ddr3-z/

that should run most games pretty well, but if your going for the higher end games why not try a 9600?

Oh btw if using it for games i would recommend XP as in my opinion 2gig with vista just isnt enough.

hope this helps

Whats the difference between this deal and this one;

http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/16577...p-system-19-t/
Dell Vostro 200 desktop system 19"TFT, 2.2Ghz C2D, 3gig, 500Gb, dvdrw, Vista Premium £324 delivered - HotUKDeals Forum

Apart from the obvious lack of monitor...

Whats better value for money?

Thanks.

^ that that one doesn't work, but it will be better for money if you do want the 19" monitor. And this one comes with EX110 keyboard.

And this one comes with EX110 keyboard.
The EX110 set is not very good at all IMO. The keyboard is just about OK - a bit flimsy, but quite nice to type with - but the mouse is rubbish. The batteries barely last 2 weeks and after a few days the left mouse button started to squeak. I've seen other people mentioning the squeak on various forums too, so it's not just me. Selecting it only adds £1.30 to the price for some reason, but you might be better off selling it on eBay and getting something a bit better.
