can a ps3 play hd dvds? just wondered i know they play blu ray but wondered if hd dvd is compatible too?

yeah i know blu ray is better but i keep on seeing deals for hd dvds! and thought that if it does i would get some as there cheap!

They were opposing technologies.. it was a format war - Blu-ray vs HD-DVD, with blu-ray winning, which is why HD-DVD is cheap, as it's obsolete now!

Blu ray isnt "better" in the general sense. in terms of quality they are about the same its just blu ray had more money spent on advertising and getting companies to back it.
