EXPIRED - Cravendale Milk 2 for £2 @ Asda again. until: 03/06/2008

£2.00

312°

FOUND BY: jinkssick 5 months, 19 hours ago

EXPIRES: 03/06/2008

This is the only milk I drink now, not only does it seem to taste better but itll be nice for your pocket as the milk seems to last agesssss once opened whilst other own branded ones go sour quite quick. Last one lasted well over a month and a half.

Must be the filtering thing they do.

SIX WEEKS??!! Jesus wept, its knackered after at best six DAYS! You'd have to be out of your freakin' mind to use milk weeks after you'd bought it

I like this milk as a refreshing drink on it's own,
But admit it makes my tea taste a bit strange.

Yeah, I thought it had to be used within 7 days. I'm funny with milk & chuck it after 2 days, cravendale or not!

I keep my cravendale for ages as well..its got a much longer shelf life than most 'normal' milk. Like the OP says must be to do with the filtration taking out more bacteria

Just got some today...normally lasts us about 3-4 weeks and it stays good to the last drop. We use the semi-skimmed for tea and the whole milk to make yogurt and both taste excellent.

And they have weird ads. !

Hey, if it tastes OK it's probably fine. My record is only two weeks

"Accrington Stanley? Who are they?"

I just don't get the "filtered, to make it purer" tag.
Surely, if something is natural, you can't make it more pure?

To me, this comes across as Coke's 'Dasani'. But, each to their own.

I'll probably pick some up tomorrow, just to see what the hoo-ha is all about.

Well it's milk sans more of the bacteria so it kinda makes sense. That Dasani business didn't make any sense what-so-ever because it was tap water which was filtered to remove the minerals after which Coke's "special blend" of minerals was added to it again! Bizarre!

Cravendale isn't that big a whoop but it *does* last for ages and some people prefer the taste.

Milk does contain a lot of good bacterial enzymes so the more you "purify" it the less nutrients you get out of the milk. Does anyone that is lactose-intolerant drink this stuff? I'm guessing NOT lol.

Soya milk > Cravendale Milk :P

It could last up to six weeks unopened but the shelf life is seven days after opening
