M&S have a commitment to reduce landfill etc etc, as a result they now reduce items daily that are nearing their sell-by date. The same as other supermarkets.
I've just been and picked up
Family pack of haddock - normally £7.48 - bought for £2
Lobster £20, bought for £8
Fresh chicken £5.58, bought for £3
Lamb £5, bought for £2
Cakes 79p to 50p
etc
etc
I was in the store at 4.30pm (Leeds) and there were loads of bargins - I reccon they start reducing at around 4pm daily,
Enjoy.
The reducing is only in selected stores as it is on trial to seee how much waste marks and spencers can reduce also how much money if any can be made.
also it does not start at 4pm nowhere near that time, i know the time as i work for marks and spencers
another perk taken from staff

also it is only food on that day which gets reduced not nearing the date as you put it
just to clarify
