Hi, not familiar with Sat Nav systems, is TomTom like an operating system or something? or maybe a series of maps, can you explain? just started my research into satnav and need all the help i can get!!

I bought the 895 version [4.3" screen ] did the reg key hack and now have TT6 ,Miomap,TD & Igo all on the same card .Excellent device ,made better now with the added software. I've used TT for years on my phone's & PDA but Miomap is way,way better .Check out those sites for more info , including the ebuyer forum, lots of help there too.

A TomTom is only a satnav and a good one at that . But ,these Navigos can run anything : Route66 ,Igo , TomTom ,Miomap ,Turbo Dog [the unit comes bundled with this]and more .I have 4 on the same card . The OS of these things is Windows CE , so it's basically a mini PDA/Pc type thingy ! I'm using the UK & Western Europe map [v675.1409] for TT. Theres a lot of software for these things too , Theres not a lot you can put on a dedicated TomTom unit apart from a MAP !

Have you tried Turbo Dog ???/

absolutely apalling bit of software .My test using it on the road showed me on all the paralell roads but the one I was actually on . This was the reason many have opted for the alternative software.

good spot op good deAL just reading up on these now £60 delivered then hack it put tomtom 6 on it miomap whatever you want within reason all for £60 or £89 for the widescreen version why buy tomtom just get 1 of these
