I feel it is worth mentioning that this product (perhaps coincidentally?) blew the dock connector on my friend's 10 month old 5th gen iPod and also damaged the battery. Don't think he did anything wrong but be careful when installing it.

yes just noticed a liottle explanation of what refurbished stock is, it doesnt actually say this is though can anyone confirm this?

It is a refurb unit but we'll give you a 12 month warranty as if it's a new item.

The connection to the iPod is made via a flying lead with a dock connector. As I understand it any iPod since the 3rd generation will work fine with the exception of the shuffle (and only because it doesn't have the full size dock connector).
