Very good deal! Shame It's not for me since I'm an Olympus man, but very good price indeed!

This is an excellent lens at a very good price, if Amazon honours it ! It is a great replacement for the basic18 - 55 lens that EOS camera usually ships with. The 28 - 135 is about the best general purpose lens available for EOS cameras.

As previously stated cheapest price on www.camerapricebuster.co.uk is £288.
I have this lens, it's excellent, even better value is the Canon 55-250 IS* lens, which I also have, available for £168 through the above site.

great find. wonder if it will stay that price?

you can always go for the 28-105mm IS USM II at warehouse express http://www.warehouseexpress.com/prod...aspx?sku=12838 which is £174

I've had one of these for just over a year now. its a truly lovely lens. i was lucky and got mine for £230 at a time when it was pretty much £300 everywhere else.

at £200, its a complete BARGAIN. get yourself this and the 50mm f1.8 prime and youre set. of all my lenses, the 28-135IS is the one i use nearly all the time.

if you want to see some photos taken with it, heres a few from a gig last year: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?ai...3&id=546265795

Can anyone recommend the best macro lens for my eos model?

For those of you who want to read up on a review, I always refer to this webiste. Here's a link to the actual review. It's a bit techie so be warned.

http://www.the-digital-picture.com/R...ns-Review.aspx

Hopefully it's helpful to someone. I think it's a great general lens that is a bit of an all-rounder. Handy just to take this on holiday without haveing to take other lenses with you.

Cheers

Taff
