What's the difference (apart from price LOL) between the 510 and the 520 mentioned on another thread. Trying to work out if its hardware or software or both?

Thanks

Googling at the mo to find out the exact same thing - so far there has been mention that the 520 is much slimmer, lasts longer with battery and has 4.3" screen as opposed to the 4" of the 510 .

Not confirmed anything yet so if someone knows please tell, thanks!

That's pretty much the reason I'm looking as I have tomtom on my pda with a separate tomtom gps puck and the missus doesn;t like having to go through loading tomtom, then pairing up the gps device and then getting on with doing the satnav LOL.

You need to make sure you get the latest version of the RDS-TMC aerial:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/TomTom-9V00-...dp/B000W3H2A6/

was £29.99 in Feb this year.

earlier versions hardly ever picked up the signal.

This is 2 generations out of date and yes it it is massive at the back compared to the 520 i got for my dad. However it is updateable to the latest software and maps, you might have to do some googling for that though. I'd say it's a better buy than a one.
