Looks ok to me, welcome to hukd!

Only thing to mention is that it's not got it's own power supply which can cause problems with usb hubs.

It's much cheaper at Scan, but you would admittedly have to buy other items to get above the alleged £20 hurdle to qualify for the the avforums free delivery.

I've had one since last year, and it's been great. It works fine, but I've only ever stuck pen drives in the ports, not anything "juicy" so to speak.

Just keep in mind it most likely wont be USB 2.0 since it doesn't need an external power source. Fine if you don't mind the slower transfer speeds (12Mbps compared to 480Mbps) but don't expect to be able to use it with an external hard drive or dvd writer etc. Cool gadget though.

Cool yourself at your PC with this 2 in 1 powerful desktop USB Fan with built in 4 Port USB2 Hub.

It even takes 4 x AA battries to make it truly portable too.

Note: The Fan is not the usual cheap quality - In Piano Black with an adjustable stem and flexible safty fan blades
Itts designed by Veho for professional and long term use.

A 4 port USB2 Hub thrown in for the price keeps your desk tidy too.

It'll do usb2 but won't do anything that needs powering, ie some external hard drives, webcams etc.

It's definitely USB2. I have one and you don't get the "this drive could operate faster message". However, you are right that it won't "drive" an external hard drive (tried), and therefore we can assume not a DVD writer either. Not sure about a webcam.

Excellent deal at this price then. Most USB hubs I've used/seen which don't require an independent power source and are part of a larger device (i.e. desktop monitor, gadgets like this) have tended to be the old type USB with slower speeds. Especially at this price.

You say you have this fan yourself?, can I ask how loud it is?.

I too have one of these fans and can highly recommend them. In terms of noise it does make a bit of a buzz, but so does any fan. However, unlike some other USB fans this one really does push out enough air to make a difference and keep you cool at your desk, and it doesn't feel like a cheap and nasty product. The usb ports are usb 2, and the ability to run the fan off a few AA batteries is a nice bonus.
