its not really a tel number as in a land line number...just think of it as msn messenger..only you can call your friends rather than bringing up a chat box.

you can buy skype phones that will go via you pc and plug into you landline so that you can make calls via both...the ones via the land line will cost you.

i love skype we have been using it for around 2 years probably only spent £40 total in 2 years dont forget quidco too!

I presume if you had a skype phone and you wanted to talk free to someone else, then they would have to have a skype phone too. If that is the case when you buy the phone does it come with a number?
