I think they were dude, but that would have been a VERY good price back then

Anyway, I reckon these type of ipods are on the way out.. I reckon the touches are the way to go - real mutli-function units.
Doesn't make this a bad buy, it's a good price if you ask me...voted hot!

They were released September 5th 2007. The reason iPods don't usually go in many sales or deals (besides offers on accessories) is because Apple put huge pressure on retailers to keep the prices up, and if they don't, risk Apple losing confidence in them and not sending them much stock!

The storage capacity of the i-touch is nothing like this though, so it depends what you want it for, if you just want something to store all your music video and pictures on then this is perfect.

In November I paid £215 for the 160GB from the Apple Store (that included a £15off discount through my work).
I would've thought there would be better deals on these things? Guess you're right, bossmanuk

Paid £127 for mine a month ago.

The new classic is annoying, they have changed the size so its the perfect size to slide out your pocket and keep smashing on the ground, i didnt want to have to put it in a bulky case, now I am going to have to.

It is annoying that they decided not to put the suede pouch in like they did on the ipod video.
Also the eu volume limit is annoying as well, anyone found a way of removing it?

Yes if you look in the settings you can change the level of it and trust me i have mine set to a maximum of 1/4 as it is more than enough

settings, volume limit set it to max and if that is not loud enough buy some real headphones

i have it set that set to max and also the volume set to max as well on some tracks its fine (its certainly not overly loud) but on others its as if ive turned the volume halfway down and is a real problem, have some creative headphones coming from amazon so hopefully they might improve things, otherwise i'll go back to the ipod video which is permantely in the igroove.
