Grounds for leaving T-Mobile early

In this months bill I received the updated terms and conditions for customers on contact with T-Mobile version 55.

Now in the section it states 2. Our Agreement sub heading 2.6 We don't have to provide you with a renewal or upgrade.

This is new and NOT in any other terms and conditions with the network and this Will cause problems to people who like to upgrade every 12 or 18 months like myself. I asked to leave on those grounds and was told that I would have to pay a early termination fee.

I've sent my complaint in today to customer relations but this will take week at least to deal with.

Now has anyone else got that same terms and conditions and know if this can be grounds for leaving?

Hi,
I am on a T- mobile and my 12 month contract has recently expired. Last year when my contract expired I rang them and they upgraded my phone to a newer model for free but this year they would only upgrade my phone if I paid for the new phone and the one they offered me was inferior to the model I already had! I am seriously thinking of moving to another provider, they don't seem to care if you stay with them or not!

So did you get the new terms and conditions with your bill this month as they come into effect on the 14th June 2008

I'm also interested in hearing about this as my girlfriend was put onto a new deal after her phone was stolen and it seems a lot more expensive than the one she'd originally been on.
