Can anyone reccommend a digital tv booster?

My nans got a HDtv with digital channels included.

for some reason, the signal is terrible.
Ive checked her postcode, and it should be really good.

I was thinking of getting some sort of signal booster to try.. but do they actually work?

Has she got a good modern aerial?

Digital requires a good aerial, and if all she has is an old aerial, maybe stuck in the loft, that may be the problem.

My signal is really bad too - its not helped by weather ! Been off for over a week, but just re tuned it and it works now!

Mine works in normal conditions better than without, but the negative is its more prone for picking up interference from Motorbikes, when the noisy ones go past my picture breaks up!
It does have 2 outputs though so allows me to send the signal to 2 TVs.

signal boosters are better if placed near the ariel rather than near the tv, a quick rewire of the cabling should stop that

Dont buy a signal booster they do nothing if you have a rubbish signal in the first place -- get a decent aerial

of course here in the borders we are getting the analogue switched off this year and the digital i've been told will be boosted to full strength at the same time
Bout bloody time we got something first, other than nasty livestock diseases that is
