Cracking price. Half decent lens. There's a 18-50mm DC lens for the same price too. I've used this lens for a couple of years - stunning value at uner £40.00

Heat added

Go through Quidco and get 3% cashback too

Great price, hot.

The aperture isn't very small so low-light shots without a flash might be problematic. Still, a decent enough lens and a bloody good one at that price.

unfortunately it won't work with the D40.

It's a real shame - it's the one lens I actually have. Point me at a 50mm for the same price and I'll bite your arm off.

Nice find. Voted Hot (can't vote very hot cos there isn't a button)

This is a great priced lens for any casual photographer that wants more than the standard 55 or 70mm kit lenses offer.

Are you sure about that?

Review here suggests it does.
Would be interested to have this confirmed, as I have a D40 and have reserved one at my local Jessops.

Cheers,

Johnnypanic

Would be great if you can confirm that... if the autofocus works...
was thinking of starting the exercise of DSLR kit in reverse with the lenses coming first... looks like wont be possible if these arent compatible with D40 or D40X ?
