POSTED BY: pughy2000 1 month, 2 weeks ago

Just wondering if anybody has any experiance with Evans Halshaw as i was thinking of doing a trade in, i wondered if there are easy to haggle with on car cost and extra finance if needed etc, or does anybody know of any really good garages for trade.thanks

i bought my current car from the merthyr branch of evans halshaw. knocked them down from £5500 to £4600, plus got free road tax, service MOT etc and a tank full of fuel. it was easy to haggle with them. had to take it back a few times during the 3 month warranty and had no problems (other than workshop being really slow) getting the work done

i didn't have a p/ex so knew i could get £500 easily. it wasn't hard to push for the rest i had a couple of squeaks coming from the pedals that were doing my head in so i had them sort it and also one of the electric windows played up so they swapped the motor/regulator. that was over a year ago and touch wood no problems since.

edit. i also noticed i didn't have a jack and brace so they put new ones in when they did the pedals

straight cash, but you'll usually get a better deal if you take finance because they make money off the finance as well. they much prefer you using their finance as it ups their commission
