I've been searching for a cheap camera under 60 quid delivered which doesnt require AA batteries but has a lithium rechargable instead and this little number came up. What Digital Camera gave it 86%, so its not a dud by any means.......

7.2 Mega Pixels
2.5 inch TFT
Aluminium shell - which is extremely rare!

This camera seems to get mixed and conflicting reviews.
After reading a few reviews its shocking how biased and inaccurate most of them are though. For example one mentions the picture quality is below average ; yet in another review as a direct comparison against the more expensive Pentax m30 the L700 has much better picture quality than the Pentax.. Another review mentions the screen isn't a very good resolution, when in fact its got twice the pixel count of most of its competitors.

At this price it is undoubtably a bargain.

I have this camera.

I bought it about 18 months ago from Currys and it cost £120 then.

It's a simple to use, nice looking camera that produces pictures of a good enough quality for my needs.

I'm not David Bailey ( who) and this camera, even at the price I paid, was a good buy.

It comes with a usb lead included, which a lot of others don't.
The battery life is very good, despite me having a 4gb card.
Like I said if you want to be a professional then you would be looking at a SLR anyway, but this is a nice little compact digital that would do family pics and holiday snaps fine.

At £60 it is a bargain.
