3 Top Stories - Sony reveals PS3 software lineup for 2008 and 2009, Microsoft says no DLC for PS3 GTA IV and World Exclsuive Command & Conquer Trailer is released!!
POSTED BY: jay_zizzle 1 month, 2 weeks agoI usually come and update the fellow gamers @ HUKD about the latest goss in the gaming world and today there was too much. Instead of making 3 seperate topics, i thought id just cover all 3 in one.

1. World Exclusive Trailer for Command & Conquer 3: Red Alert
Coming to PS3, PC and X360. Standard version of the trailer is on source site above. HD version link also available.

2. Microsoft says PS3 will not get any Grand Theft Auto IV DLC
As most of you probably know, Microsoft has paid Rockstar to bring extra DLC (DownLoadable Content) exclusive to the Xbox 360 version of Grand Theft Auto IV.
That doesnt mean that the PlayStation 3 wont also be getting some downloadable content though - just that the Xbox 360 will get some stuff the PS3 wont. Or does it?!!
Microsofts Aaron Greenberg was asked to clear up the situation regarding DLC to which he replied:
Its not possible as far as Im aware, but that would be a good question to ask Rockstar, said Greenberg. Rockstar and Xbox have only said there are exclusive episodes coming this fall to Xbox 360. I might put that up for a bit of wishful thinking on their end.
3. Sony reveals software linup for 2008 and 2009
Sony has recently announced its 2008 and early 2009 playstation 3 software line-up via press release, Sonys Scott Steinberg says:
"For the second half of 2008 and beyond, we will see a spectacular line up of triple-A titles and original gaming content that will satisfy PlayStation fans across the board Highly anticipated games such as Resistance 2(TM), LittleBigPlanet(TM), and Killzone(TM) 2, along with original content such as SIREN: Blood Curse and PixelJunk(TM) Eden, demonstrate SCEAs passion to lead the market by continuing to deliver unique gaming content and revolutionary sequels to our best-selling franchises"

Man i completely agree with you but if you read the whole article on the source, you will see that Reeves (Sony VP) was asked to comment on the DLC and his responses worry me. Well not worry me but they are more in favour of the fact DLC will only come to the X360 because of the $50 million they paid RockStar. Hope my intrepretation of his replies is wrong, but cant really say. I read somewhere that Microsoft won't make the money back from the DLC anyway, so I think they shot themselves in the foot right there  |

In all honesty I'm not really bothered about DLC, because I think GTA is fine the way it is. I was just a little thrown by Microsoft saying something on behalf of Rockstar/Sony. I read somewhere that Microsoft won't make the money back from the DLC anyway, so I think they shot themselves in the foot right there

Yea seems like we are all wound up with the GTA news. Did you see the water effects in the C&C trailer???? They look f'in sweet as. And the game line up looks amazing for the PS3, im waiting on Resistance 2, KillZone 2, Little Big Planet, Wipeout!  |
