Hotel is located on the southern end of Barrhead, south of Glasgow on the A736 approx 8 miles outside the city. Nothing to do in the surrounding area and hotel has no pool, athough there is a local council one approx 1 mile away on Barrhead Main St. Barrhead train station is also located approx 1 mile away for direct trains to Glasgow city centre - express only 10" and non-express 20".

Hotel is good value for say a shopping trip in Glasgow when you dont want to do anything outside the hotel, would probably have a better deal at a city centre hotel, travel inn/premier lodge etc to avoid the taxi/train fares etc. It would deffo work out cheaper, but probably not quite as plush as the Dalmeny Park.

Anyway voted hot as it does present good value for money if your willing to just stay in the hotel.

Last date appears to be July 1st at these rates (Wedding season!) if you want to update your post accordingly... Otherwise, brilliant deal, 75% off or so!

Looks like a lovely hotel and a great deal.

For anyone near London thinking of travelling up, National Express have got a few overnight direct £1 bus journeys from central London to a Glasgow bus terminal 15 mins from the hotel throughout June.

I agree but if driving holiday stop off this is ideal also for a romantic few nights,this looks good to me...and I'm just down the road from this..... not to far from Glasgow Airport too.
I'd rather stay here than holday inns any day

We got the top room a few years back, it was quite dated and the large jacuzzi had mould all over it. We paid £45 for it for the night. We were going to have our wedding at this place and we mentioned this to the staff and they were quite rude and the food was horrible. But hey it may have changed in 2 years.

we paid £45 with lateroom for the Bridal Suite Room sleeps 2 normal rate £350 aint in any case worth anywhere near £300 pounds

I had my wedding reception at the Dalmeny park and book any customers/visitors that come up to Scotland in there for work.

Theres a fantastic steak house just down the road called snooks that has horrible decor, but the most amazing steaks you could possibly ever try. The rooms and hotel is very comfy, the only downside when i stayed, was being too tired to consumate my marriage till the honeymoon

Was at this hotel a couple of years back, was quite disappointed;

Decor is tired (dare I say shabby?) and the whole place has a very 80s feel to it, in definite need of renovation.
Food was poor, and drink was expensive.

Not particularly close to Glasgow either.

Voting hot as good price for a night if you're just looking for somewhere to put your head down.
