is there a disc scratch repairer that works?

ive just bought a so called perfect condition dvd set off here, but the first disc has some scratches which caused my dvd played to crash, it wouldnt even open! N.e.way I bought a repair kit before and it just seemed to melt the disc as it was unplayable after, so was wondering if anyones actually had any good results and can recommend one, thanks

I've just come back from maplins with such a kit...--- sons GTA IV stopped working half way through a game..

£4.99 for a kit and it seems to work / done the trick

Gamestation repair discs for £1.99 each while you wait instore but have never tried it so cannot comment if it's any good but maybe someone on here might have used their service

Game station are good. Someone i know took a real ******ed copy of GTA3 there and got it working! Was rather impressed

I found Gamestation a bit hit and miss really. The ones they did seem to 'cure' lasted about 2 days then the old probs came back.

Prevention is always better than cure so I now use these.... www.dskinuk.com clip them on and you can play or even burn with them still attached!!!

You can buy a tube of cream which you buff away on the disc and it fixes a lot of issues. Search on ebay it's got "disc repair" on the side and is orange an blue coloured.

I'd post a link but I dont think you can on ebay. I always have a tube of this stuff in a drawer for these kind of emergencies.

YEP DEF goto blockbusters, i was playin my kane and lynch game and the other half knocked the machine over, the noise that came from the machine was like a massacre and when i opened it.......Yep u guessed it absolutley ruined even took the paint from the middle picture off.

Took it to blockbusters and when it came out of the machine it was as if it was brand spankin new!!!!!!!!!!

1,000,000 % BLOCKBUSTERS!!!!!!
