From my search I think its the reg leafy plan in the lower left of the picture, might be wrong though, none of my fingers are in the slightest bit green!

This is a great deal, well found! Especially if you consider a hanging basket on it's own can cost more than that, let alone the rest of the stuff. I already have an acer and they are lovely little trees - especially good if you're short of space. Mine is doing fine and dandy in a nice big tub

Well worth the price for the Acer alone, I have one in a pot in my garden and i paid £10 for it a couple years ago.

an acer is any maple, but commonly used in reference to japanese maple as per above

The acers that T&M sell are often very small at about 12-18 inches.

You should take the "worth £50" with a pinch of salt. T&M currently have a deal where, for example, an acer can be purchased for £4. The DVD is probably £15-£20 of the "worth" price.

I'm not saying it is a bad deal, just don't expect a normal sized acer.

Agreed, these Acers are small as you describe but will grow to 3 metres in height and about the same spread after about 10 years or so.

They are really beautiful trees and are well worth the effort and the space. Mind you, you should have no difficulty keeping it down in size if you keep it in a pot, as long as you keep increasing the pot size each year and stop when the Acer is the size you want it. Oh and don't let them dry out (that's the big challenge with putting them in a pot).
