These are much needed, the original ones are sloped downwards on the outer edge, can't tell you how many times my fingers have slipped off the buttons on to the backside of the controller - during pes08 or something - can be fatal on some games

terrible original design flaw from sony

saying that how do these go on? do you have to open the controller ?

the idea doesn't appeal to me if so

nah u dont have to open the controller, they clip on, I dont think i could ever go back to using the ps3 control pad without these, they feel so much better, I recommend them. Hot

Still can't believe sony could see the obvious flaw beforehand, I knew it as I pulled the controller out of my ps3 pack on launch day - and what do I know about controller ergonomics?

The last time there was a deal thread on this (about a week ago) someone mentioned that a certain PS3 mag sometimes does these for free on their monthly mag once in a while. I can't recall the name of the mag exactly but next time your at a newsagents keep an eye out

So basically trying to turn it into a 360 controller...surprised their not selling rumble packs too like the n64!

Used to love the ps2 controller before getting a 360, ever since though the sony controller never feels as good!

Nah can't agree with you there, the dualshock since it's inception in about 97' or 98' has been my fave by a long long way

. You ever tried PES on 360 pad? - pales against the dualshock for me - though it is still a quality controller.

It really shows that Sony really did have their minds on the Blu Ray player rather than a games machine when it makes terrible design flaws like this.. Will they be extended in the dual shock pad which everyone is going to have to buy or will you be stuck with these clip ons ?.

This is a pic of the dualshock3 pad that is out in Japan at the moment and then out in the states then the UK.

From the picture they are using the same trigger as the current pad so unless Sony change the design for the USA & UK which I doubt then it looks like the trigger enhancements are the way to go
