All of my lights are now energy saving bulbs and these won't dim. Worth thinking about if you are buying these and using energy saving bulbs..

point he is trying to make is that if you have energy light saving bulbs (as most do nowadays) then these will be useless as they don't dim, just turn on and off!
good find for those who have normal bulbs though!

They look like the ones I got recently from another posting on here.
You don't have to use the dim function if you have energy saving lamps. Press one on, press again, off.

I have similar ones from Lidl, and they don't have to be on light circuits, as you can see they are 3 pin plugs, so I use them on 2 fishtanks and 2 lamps that are both energy saving - it makes life so easy at the end of the night, just hit 'all off' and away you go.

These don't seem as good as mine as they only have 1 switch per item, unless there is something more to the ABCDE switches on the remote?

I have the lidl pack too, it comes with 3 on/off and one dimmer switch. I can use the three on/off ones with my energy saving bulbs, however, I can not use the dimmer switch with the energy saving blubs. It just doesn't switch ON (the bulbs would start goign on and off). May be its worth making sure that the ON/OFF functionality of a dimmer switch would work with your energy saving bulbs before buying.

You can now get dimmable low energy bulbs. Usually more expensive but worth it if you want that feature.

heres a link but probably can be had for much cheaper

Yes, same here. I bought these exact ones from Netto and as above, one by one they went. I am something of a lab tester for these things as I've had the ones from Wickes, Maplin, Netto and some other place from the Net. I've now ended up with the some from B&Q from a company called Byron Automation and these came with two on/off's as well as two dimmers. The remote has an LCD display and you can set up timers for each switch as the remote also has a built in clock. The only downside was that the dimmers shared the same number so both my lamps come on together! However I think these have changed their name now but B&Q still do them so well worth a look (they cost me about £20 about 10 months ago)
