Maplin 1hr Battery charger for Ni-cad/Ni-Mh batteries with LCD Display.
Charges Nicad/Ni-MH 1 - 4 AA or AAA batteries (Can be a mix of NI-mH/Ni-cad)
Discharge Function
LCD display shows charging status.
supplied with 4x 2500mAh NI-MH batteries (The site says 2400mAh but mine came with 2500's so i assume this is a typo)
Can be used At home or in the car.


There was a Sign instore showing these reduced from £32.99 > £19.99 but i'm not sure if its a special offer or not as they are £19.99 on the website anyway.

I thought it wasn't a bad deal, Especially since it can charge an Odd number of batteries, so if you have something that takes 1 or 3 batteries this could come in handy.

not bad you can use the old ni-cad and the new ni-mh.

doesnt mention about the deltav etc but for 1 hour fast chrger not bad.

whats the lcd screen for? does it have numbers etc

Negative Deltav Cut off function (I forgot to mention it but the manual Shows that it has it.) lcd seems to show a picture of the battery with 0 >3 bars so it a rough gauge of how charged the battery is.

I would recommend the 15 minute energizer one over this, though it is a bit more expensive. It is really fast and comes with a car and mains adapter. Much quicker for gettnig the batteries charged for my 360 wireless controller than the official microsoft fast charger.
I have seen them around for between 20 and 30 quid online.

As many HUKD members know, eneloop batteries come ready charged and, unlike most rechargeables, hold up to 85% of their charge for a year after charging.

My inlaws have terrible problems with rechargables as they are always leaking away all thier power before they ever get around to using them. These Eneloops sound great!

Seems a good spec with delta-V and temp protection, but perhaps a little espensive.
