Wickes tend to have half-price kitchen sales every other month. This stupidity meant we had to delay ordering ours for three weeks until they were on sale again. I can't see a rational reason why they do it because it's common knowledge so surely everyone just waits untill the sale is back on?
Maybe the ebb and flow of orders suits their supplier, who is for everyones info
http://www.gower-kitchens.co.uk/. Wickes won't tell you openly who makes their kitchens but I found a delivery note from the German hinge supplier to Gower in one of the carcass boxes :-)
The kitchens are not bad and go together well though the instructions are a bit lacking if you have to do anything unusual, that said the helpline is pretty good.
Next time though when I do a kitchen I may try a supplier who does ready built cabinets as whilst putting together the cabinets is probably the easiest bit it is very very dull and wastes time.
EDIT: I now realise this offer is for the "Takeaway" range not the "Showroom" range which is the type we got so my comments are in fact completely irrelevant to this deal :-)
