Voted hot - also worth mentioning that you can get 4-pack versions of these beers at Asda in their '2 for £9' deal which is slightly more expensive but you can also include other similar 4-packs (Hobgoblin, Badger etc).

Marston's aren't the best, but this is still pretty good value for money.

I noticed Tesco has 20% off all single bottles today, so there are some good deals to be had. Tesco usually has a few local ales as well, which are always worth a punt on. We've got Loddon's "Ferryman's Gold" at the moment, which is a gorgeous bottle-conditioned (i.e. REAL ale) beer from Oxfordshire. It's down to £1.50 odd, which is a bargain.

Also, on the lager side, Pilsener Urquell for £1.19 for 500ml bottles. Another bargain.

It is worth taking on board that you can buy 12 x 500ml bottles of Marston's Pedigree Bitter at Ocado (and presumably therefore Waitrose) for £11.04.

The picture shows a can, but the description confirms that it is bottles.

Badger 'Hopping Hare' is a nice extra hopped brew. But my favourite is Tesco's finest IPA, India Pale Ale..

As said, reduced in tesco's at the moment.

I would rather pay an extra £3 and get 12 bottles of finer beer and more choice in the 4 for a fiver deals they do.
