Yamaha DSP-AX761T Amplifier & NSP-110 5.1 Speaker Set - £242.98!!

£242.98

FOUND BY: robjw_2001 1 year, 5 months ago

I've just succumbed to this amp which was posted a few days ago. I was looking for some cheap speakers to get me going and saw these matching Yamaha's on Empire Direct's site. I'd seen them on Richer Sounds for £79.99 but Empire have them for £10 less. Of course then there's the 10% off code which makes the grand total for both £242.98! I'm picking mine up from one of their collection points but they'll deliver for about £10 more.

I ordered the LG TV advertised on here over the bank holiday using the same code, and I can now confirm it works for these items too!

Don't forget Quidco which should knock off a few quid (2% before VAT)

These speakers are only average (but I guess you'd expect that for the price). I'm no audiophile, but IMHO, the sub is quite acceptable. Centre is a bit thin for speech and the satellites are OK for surround sound only. You are better off replacing the fronts with some bookshelfs, but beware the likely ohms mismatch.

I got these speakers two years ago and I've been really please with them. The sub is excellent.

Don't forget Richer Sounds do a price match and discount if its in stock.

It would seem this deal never got off the ground! Thanks for the input though. I didn't get a call from Empire today but based on experience they'll probably call tomorrow. I'm looking forward to picking it up :-) Does anyone know if it's likely to include speaker cable? I want to get some decent stuff but it would be nice to have some included to get me going.

HEAT ADDED -- GREAT DEAL ....speakers will come with all the cable you need to get you going. which is a bonus these days, yeah its only gonna be bell wire but its a start. got uprgraded stuff from richer sound yesterday for 69p per metre, most people i spoke to about speaker cable say its so hard hear the improvement between basic upgrade cable and the mega expensive stuff!! i have invested in banana plugs though which will help me identify which speaker cable goes where, if your using these bear in mind that the sockets have tiny plastic caps inside that need removing first with a small screw just tapped in enough to pull them out. ordered this yesterday , rang to check and delivery due today. i just hope my neighbours are out all day so i can listen loud all day !!!

regards speaker cable it seems you can make top notch speaker cable at a fraction of what the branded companies sell it for heres the link for diy topic forum on avf ..... this seems like a must - none of that £5 per metre 1st step then maybe £20+ wish list stuff this diy guide appears to have most that make it amazed
