If you go via Quidco it will come under £200 , i know its not as good as the last marshallward deal but still a good price , its also now instock again.

Use code XX222 to get it to the price above.

Great for the beginner - the Eee PC has a Linux operating system that's more easier to use than any Windows machine and it starts up twice as fast. Small, yet sturdy, it's a good choice for the children too.
Standard range. (see More Info).
Intel Mobile processor. 512Mb RAM. 4Gb flash memory. 7in display. Linux opertaing system pre-loaded. Webcam. SD/MMC card slot. Wireless 802.11b/g. 0.92Kgs.
Eee-PC with Linux operating system:-
This PC doesn't use a Microsoft operating system. It comes pre-loaded with OpenOffice.org software which lets you open Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint documents, edit and save them in a Microsoft format, so Microsoft users will be able to open files you send them.

dunno if it's just me - but i think these lappy's seem to be about £50-70 too expensive.

considering the way normal laptop prices are tumbling i'd be holding out for something much better/cheaper.

The new eeepc 901 will be launched during this week, so you might want to wait a bit. It will be more expensive (~£300) but with better specs (bigger screen, new CPU, higher capacity drive, ...).

More expensive! yeah its £120 (37%) more expensive than the 701 model in this post. £329 is mainstream laptop territory. Makes the 901 seem pointless. Asus has stuffed up. The price was what sold the 701, not features. A definite case of less was more.

Check this out:

ASUS are cutting the prices on the older EEE models once the 901 comes out.

Except mainstream laptops weigh three times as much and for some people the extra specs aren't needed.

For the 701 it'll probably just be a token price cut of £5.
