All specs are good apart from the 1.6GHZ processor.

Why companies are doing medium speed processors with wondows vista is beyond me, it just runs slow.

Good spec machine for a good price. As stated, good for business and casual home users but not the best for gamers, (partly because Vista hog's alot of the system resources etc.... anyway).

Often they're trying to sell to the ignorant who think that Vista is the latest and best thing for computers (how wrong).

MS are really pushing this so are selling it really cheap to the likes of Toshiba, Dell, HP etc.
What many people are doing is getting rid of Vista and putting XP back on.

As some of the biggest buyers of operating systems are businesses, MS are in turn struggling as businesses are tending to stick with XP (PRO) which when fully updated is far better. Combine that with the certain fact that Vista is destined to be replaced in about 2010 (perhaps sooner), and the economic downturn everywhere people are holding onto their cash.

In this case I can assure you it doesn't run slow, I've been using one of these for 3 months and it handles anything i throw at it [except games].

I've been using Vista for over 6 months now and had ZERO problems with it, in fact i wouldn't go back to XP if you paid me!

Yeh same here, im running it on a pretty good spec PC and cant complain atall, but on my laptop it is quite poor and very slow.
