Good reduction from the £150 at Argos, however I think the 5% may get taken only off the good not the shipping (not sure though)

even so...
£118.94 for HDTV (admittedly only BBCHD at the mo) is cheap.

Remember you need a satelite dish to connect this to, if you don't it can get exspencive

I'd spend the extra £30 and get the Humax HD foxsat - the Alba group boxes (Grundig/Alba/Goodmans) don't YET allow manual tune (this will be added soon as it's a legal requirement) the Humax has it already. In non-freesat mode it picks up a load more channels, besides that I personally would prefer a brand like Humax.

ITV-HD did indeed start yesterday and combined with BBC HD increasing it's schedule steadily it's a great way to get into HD for no sub. The main courts at Wimbledon are going to be in HD and it seems very possible BBC HD will cover F1 in HD next year too.

Also remember if you have an existing sky mini-dish these receivers just plug into the f-connector from the dish so no install required.

Lots of great info http://www.joinfreesat.co.uk/

I have Sky freeview and I assume that both this and the sky box can be coupled to work alongside one another. I.e. switch one off and switch the other on.??

Some other interesting views here too.

Does this box include an HDMI cable? It only seems to mention scart in the product description. Hot Deal!

Yes you could put a switch in and switch between boxes.

If you have Sky+ you may already have a quad feed LNB so feed an extra cable to the box.

Cheers Bigman.

I think that perhaps I'll just make my perfectly good and expensive (passed down to me) Sony 32" last out a few more years and wait for a TV with all of this stuff built in.

Perhaps the market will have settled then.

Was a time when the only choice in TV viewing was the colour of the wood used for the cabinet.

What are we allowing to happen to ourselves.

My TV only has component and VGA inputs, have yet to see a box with those outputs though. Is this because it cannot be controlled? DRM and all that?
