FEEDBACK: e2save.com (please post both GOOD and BAD experiences!!)

POSTED BY: duckmagicuk2 1 year, 4 months ago

**This is something we tried over a year ago and I think it's worth another go! If it goes well then I'll work on bringing threads for the other mobile companies and also networks. Please don't start any such threads in the meantime**

>> THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT <<

Good AND bad experiences are vital if this thread is going to work!! Please give an honest opinion!! Please keep this thread to personal feedback and feedback of your family rather than hear-say from others and feedback on other websites.

>> THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT <<

Please post your feedback based on previous transactions you have had with this company, e2save.com.

In particular, you should refer to the following aspects of your experience with them:

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

It would also help if you could put your post in GREEN if you would recommend them or RED if you wouldn't use them again. If you do not have a strong opinion on this then you may wish to leave your post BLACK .

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed? yes
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself? no
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action? No problem although alwats check the address to send to before you actually send to be 100% sure.
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on? Make sure that customers are updated with the correct address eg website showed one address on account cashback details, but when called to confirm this it was different.
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally? Yes

Above based on 5 cashback claims that I and my dad have claimed for over the last 3-4 years including an existing one that my dad is claiming on, no problems so far or before.

i've used them for the last three years and never once had a problem. Just got a cheque for £84 this morning in fact.
As long as you're organised and work out which bills to send (if you're not sure you can phone within the first month and they'll tell you) and follow the instructions to the letter you'll have no problem.
The only time I missed one payment was my fault as I forgot to send the bill as it got burried on the mess that is my desk.
At the end of the day they want you not to claim the cash back as its profit down the drain for them which is why you have to claim and its not automatic.

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed? Yes
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself? Nope
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action? All cashback paid except for the very last one, still waiting for a proper explanation on why it wasnt paid.
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad. None.
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on? Customer Services, will pass the buck or hang up on you if you give them a hard time.
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally? Only if the deal is good enough.

I've had about 5 different contracts with E2Save.com and it has been problem free except once. On the last cashback claim of one contract they claim not to have recevied the coupon. However, I didn't send it recorded delivery so it's partly my fault.

All in all I would happily recommend them every time. It's difficult to find better deals. Especially when you add in quidco cashback.

Over the past 5 years I've helped to claim cash back on around 15 contracts. Not just my contracts but immediate family who often ask me to find then the best deal and sort out their cash back claims. Currently I have a 'Price Match' deal and have received my 2nd successful claim today and a cheque for £88.00. I've just made the 1st successful claim for my brother's 'Price Match' deal and my dad has received his automatic cash back for his contract. I've also just taken out a new 18 month contract for my mother-in-law.
1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed? Yes, E2save always provide the Special delivery tracking number on an email once the order has been dispatched.

2) Did you have any problems with the order itself? No

3) Did you receive cash back with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cash back or even take legal action? No problems but had to chase my dad's recent automatic cash back claim. I've never had to take legal action, I make sure I'm organised and don't have to waste my time making claims through MCOL as I claim at the right time.

4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad. I know there is a lot of negative feedback about E2Save on various internet forums but I've never had a major problem. The only problem I've experienced was with a clearance handset that was faulty and had to wait over a month for a replacement.

5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on? Answer the cash back enquiry line a lot quicker.

6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally? Defintely, my latest contract was taken out 3 weeks ago.

3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?

Be warned - my family's recent experiences with these people have been appalling. Three out of four cashbacks were not paid without a lot of wasted time, plus threats of legal action, despite being sent separately Recorded Delivery and absolutely in accordance with the terms and conditions. Strangely (or maybe not so strangely) the Quidco payments rarely show up either, so you have to dispute those too to stand any chance of getting paid.

You may think Carphone Warehouse means you can trust them - don't believe a bit of it. OSPS (One Stop Phone Shop) now seem to be running a merged OSPS/e2save operation in the way that OSPS have always operated - need I say more?

What's even more surprising is that if you complain to CPW (even to the cdunstone@carphonewarehouse.com address) they will now do nothing to help and just refer you back to e2save. The CPW shops also used to be prepared to help, but they've now been told not to. My local branch tells me thay get frequent complaints about e2save's failure to pay cashbacks, but have been told to do nothing about it - just tell the customer to contact e2save. Amusingly, they added that they hoped e2save would go under, because they were fed up trying to fend off all the complaints!

I had had several contracts with e2save. On no occassion did I have problems obtaining cashback. Once I lost a cheque that they sent me and when I rang them up about it they actually voided the cheque and sent me a new one.

For further details of the way this company operates, take a look at Martin Lewis' MSE website:

http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...ghlight=e2save

All those unhappy people should make you think very carefully before committing yourself to a cashback contract!

1) Were you were happy with the delivery speed? Yes
2) Did you have any problems with the order itself? No
3) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action? First 2 recieved fine, didn't even have to ring up about them. First one within 2 weeks, second nearly 4 weeks, still awaiting 3rd (been 2 weeks so far)
4) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad. Quidco tracked and payed £36.50
5) Is there anything the company needs to improve on? Defo faster paybacks
6) Would you recommend them or use them again personally? Probabily, but just taken out a dialaphone one for myself, 60 quid quidco, better terms for claiming, been given specific dates interval of bill to send, customer service defo better at dialaphone

It's worth pointing out that e2save have recently changed things so that the dates of the bills you need to send are listed in the "your account" section of the e2save website. This takes a bit of confusion out of the procedure.
