**This is something we tried over a year ago and I think it's worth another go! If it goes well then I'll work on bringing threads for the other mobile companies and also networks. Please don't start any such threads in the meantime**

Good AND bad experiences are vital if this thread is going to work!! Please give an honest opinion!! Please keep this thread to personal feedback and feedback of your family rather than hear-say from others and feedback on other websites.

Please post your feedback based on previous transactions you have had with this company, Phones4U.

In particular, you should refer to the following aspects of your experience with them:

1) Did you order online, in-store or on the phone?
2) Were you were happy with the delivery speed?
3) Did you have any problems with the order itself?
4) Did you receive cashback with little or no problems, or did you have to push them for cashback or even take legal action?
5) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.
6) Is there anything the company needs to improve on?
7) Would you recommend them or use them again personally?

It would also help if you could put your post in GREEN if you would recommend them or RED if you wouldn't use them again. If you do not have a strong opinion on this then you may wish to leave your post BLACK.

bad experience and would never purchase from them again (which I always did) my sister used the portsmouth store and they told her they would buy her out of her contract which she had 6 months left on t.mobile, cutting a long story short no they never after much arguing and threatening them with watchdog they compensated us, but it cost me being black listed my t.mobile as the bill was in my name and they also added on phone insurance which was a nightmare to cancel.

good cashback offers but absolute codswallop otherwise, they sell your phone number, within 10 mins i had 35 phone calls offering me insurance, from about 10 different companies, i actually thought 1 was phones4u and paid for it, never to deal with these scum again

GOOD
Have 2 contracts with them, both applied online. Delivery was quick. Customer service good. Cashback so far fine. Waiting fo the third cheque for both.

BAD
Ordered PAYG phone online. Not delivered, no email updates about order apart from order confrmation email.
About 10 days later emailed them, 'No stock now - expecting soon' kind of response. A week later 'Order is cancelled as item is out of stock' email.

Very good, phone replaced as faulty after 3 weeks, no problems.

2 cashbacks so far with no problems, just sent off the third.

My Wife bought a phone from Phones 4 U online. Samsung U600 12 month contract 12 months free via redemption. All cash back received so far just doing the 3rd claim for £144 on monday all smooth so far. Each claim has taken about 1 month from sending voucher to receiving cheque.

Good All Round

Keeping my fingers crossed about my mobiles2yourdoor experience being the same once my cash back claims start

I will update this post until the end of contract

1) Online
2) Next Day
3) None at all
4) So far all cash back received within a month. 2 more to go
5) Overall very good so far
6) Nothing
7) Yes

Online experience: great

Cashback: 4 out of 5 sorted so far (fingers crossed for final one next month)

Instore experience: phone broke, took to store for repair, they lost the phone for two months then returned it unrepaired saying the screen wasn't covered by warranty, absolutely awful, spent hours in the shop being ignored. Terrible customer service. Never again!

some sites are 'part of the phones4u group'. Are you making separate threads for all of those or lumping them all together as one? The different sites, afaik, all belong to the same company so is there any differences of note with going via the 'official' phones4u website or a site like mobiles2yourdoor. When mobiles2yourdoor tried to mess me about i emailed a high-up of phones4u and got a phone call the next day from a phones4u guy giving me my entitled cashback. Imo I'd link all related sites directly belonging to the company together but it's up to you.

As long as people know if they have a problem with 'part of' sites who the company in charge is. So they know who to go to if there's a problem.

Yep

Nope

All received (just got the fourth and final one) in super quick time, sometimes around a week turnaround, brilliant!

5) Please comment on other aspects which you thought were good/bad.

Customer services is fairly good, far far better than mobiles2yourdoor (same company). Deals aren't quite as good as competitors anymore but you get a better service for your money.

Nope

Yep, definately.

I have had 4 contracts with them in last 2 years. All online orders.
- all were delivered next day.
- no problem at all with quidco cashback
- I received the cashback forms within a month. Only once they took a bit more
time but I could talk to them on phone and they sent it immediately.
- I received my all cashbacks (16 in total!) in around 12-18 days after sending them
( I always send them recorded).

Just applied for two new contracts and both of them are delivered next day.

EXTREMELY HAPPY AND I RECOMMEND THEM HIGHLY


*** however I won't recommend their stores. went to Oxford street store and came out within
5 minutes. sales advisors were horrible and were trying to make fun of their own online offers like
trying to convince me that all on line phones are refurbished one etc. Also tried to take all my
details (by using a form) before talking about any deal. The moment I said I want to discuss the
deals first and won't give my personal details they lost interest ***
