Personally, I'd pay a little bit extra (£50 + £30 for delivery) to get it with a 5 year warranty!

The standard (free) delivery from Teleworld takes up to 28 days. If you want it quicker you'll need to pay £30 extra anyhow which is what most people probably would do.

Alternative Link

The standard (free) delivery from Teleworld takes up to 28 days. If you want it quicker you'll need to pay a minimum £30 extra . Which is what most people probably would do to get it a lot sooner. Then add on the 5yr warranty & it comes to £805.

Get it from Robert Whyte & it comes to £680, which includes delivery & a 5yr warranty thrown it for good measure.

Think the option for the KDL D3500u from Costco for £634 including 5 yr warranty is a better option personally - and you can pick it up on the day.

Will JL price match if their shop is miles away from the JL i plan to buy the TV from? Cos I know they don't price match online retailers only...

Lol, 6.2 megapixel resolution, my ****. It's 1080p, and thus 2megapixel. Somehow they figure that because colours are made up of red, green and blue they can triple count them.....

At what point does advertising exaggeration become an outright lie?

I thought it was just below V3000 with only difference being the sound is not quite as good and it has 1 less HDMI but I could be wrong.

I agree this is a good deal if you are not a member of costco, the best option seems to be the link grannie_mac provided for Robert Whyte even though it comes to slightly more than the costco deal.

Bit like comparing apples with oranges. Different TV and different (lower) spec.

The sony website enables you to compare the two products side by side and there are loads more features on the V range over the D range.

Both good deals in their own right.

I bought mine from Costco. Its a lovely tv! But if you want to get it from costco, bear in mind you need a voucher and the store i went to (bristol) had run out! I found my voucher in the end at the back of a trolley about 25 trolleys deep!

We got one of these from John Lewis few weeks back. I think they don't sell this one any more at JL. Great TV and fantastic picture! Trying to fet JL to price match with other dealers and got some money back. JL are quite picky at price matching with online stores though.
