I'ld heard the usa version has region 1 encoded dvd's in its package though while browsing around, the blurays are ok though so i'm personally going to err on the side of caution.

I got this today from Tower.com no probs. Much faster than a certain 4cheapcds.com who are a shower of caaaants.

For the record, disc 2 & 4 are DVDs and they work perfik on me PS3.

Fantastic deal, amazing how many different format permeatations the Blade Runner boxsets are in.

Short of importing the US Briefcase edition of the Blu Ray or HD DVD a combination between this pack and the US standard HD DVD or Blu Ray edition are the only ways to get all the nice extras and High Definition format disks in a bundle, just swap over the 3 disks in this pack and you have yourself a nice set.

Do you have to pay any duty?

Got this for £17.99 on release day from play.com, however I've just checked and now for £17.99 at play.com you only get the cardboard version, that's confusing
But yes, this is currently the best price on this according to find-dvd.co.uk, with the next cheapest being £22.49 at ChoicesUK, so voted hot because everyone should have this. Even if Ridley Scott's introductions are a bit lacking (I was expecting a decent length discussion on all the different versions, the changes and why they were made, instead it's more like 30 seconds of him saying 'Uh, yeah, this is the one with this little extra scene of violence that we decided to leave in afterall.' Insightful ).

Only pay duty for items over £18

I also got my 5 disc copy from tower.com today. Cant moan for under £9 delivered!

I've got loads of DVD box sets, but I have to say this tin set version is one of my personal favourites.

I got it for £22 the other week from amazon with the £2.50 voucher - was well worth the price then.

All the contents and casings/tin boxing and general presentation just ooze utter class. Any self respecting DVD collector must give this set a go. I was so impressed that I got the 5-disc bluray briefcase version from amazon.com - again just superb.

Good work shengis - even if I prefer Sweeney Todd to the POTC films

Thanks. I've been wanting the original version for ages, and only seen the directors cut. I like the open ending of the original film and the voiceover adds substance too.
