I've been suspended, now i'm back, slap my back and give me rep.

Could we have a designated single thread in 'Misc' for the "Un-suspended" to post about how they have returned after there 24 hour suspension?
Getting a suspension is now considered cool, what kind of society are we creating where being suspended from a forum is considered "Cool"?
Drink driving was considered 'cool' years ago, but with the evolution of our brains, we have made it clear that it is no longer socially acceptable to do this.
Do we need to have umpteen threads where serial offenders let us know they stood up to "The Man" and that they are now back, shortly before getting suspended again?
Could HUKD/Admin disable the rep traded in these threads?
A lot of ?'s, give me some answers to this virus that has taken hold of HUKD!

I do think that the tariffs need to be looked at, I have seen at least two members come back this weekend, and get suspended again within less than 24 hours. It seems to make a mockery of the system.
Fair enough when you get suspended for something that isn't all that clear, but many are abusing the system because in all likeliness, they will be back on the next day. They will say that they will risk a ban instead of deleting an abusive post, I think that they should get a "Double whammy" when this is the case. A message to the rebels: "It's not big, and it's not clever". |

I agree....it aint 'cool'...I've been suspended, but more cause I didn't understand the rules in the 'early days'...I don't think of it as cool though...far from it and wish I knew better I do think how ever the rules need to be set more in stone....thinking of one person who has been suspended for 'Rick Rolling' yet this has been going on for ages with no other suspensions.  |

Rick rolling is one of those things though, funny the first time, acceptable the second time, but it quickly gets pretty darned annoying. It would be daft to make a new rule/exception each time a new internet phenomenon creeps up, common-sense should make it pretty clear rick-rolls aren't all that funny anymore!
Yeah...they are annoying as hell, but a warning would be better than a suspension when rules are changed etc |

For example, an infraction for "inappropriate language" carries 1 point. The first point has no effect. The second point will get you banned for 24 hours. The third point will get you banned for 24 hours. If you get onto 4 points, you're gone for three days. If you get a 6th point upon your return, it's another five days on a HUKD break. 8 points would lead to a 2-week ban. Sometimes we'll dish out more points for an offence if we believe that a longer break is needed to stop someone from flouting the rules, and some offences (such as FS/FT offences) carry 2 points. |
