Half price Dorset Cereals at Waitrose

I love Dorset cereals. Soooo much nicer than other brands. Yes, normally very pricey. Might pop into Waitrose and get some. Thanks!

Sceptical here too - check the SUGAR content suits you - I was disappointed when I tried a couple of them when on cut price at Tesco a few months back - way too sweetened for my taste.

I'm not too sure what you class as sweetened. Both the varieties I currently have (simply delicious muesli and really nutty muesli) clearly state that there is no added sugar, but that they do contain naturally occurring sugars. I personally wouldn't say they are noticeably sweet at all, though I would agree that they are not the nicest to eat and I find the simply delicious muesli particularly hard going sometimes.

I'm never 100% sure if Waitrose and Ocado have exactly the same offers, but looking at the Ocado website, I see that not all of the Dorset cereals are BOGOF, but that the ones that are represent very good value. For example, Dorset Cereals Berries & Cherries Muesli 800g is £2.11, buy 2 save £2.12. Obviously this works out at £1.05 per pack, which is undeniably good value.

Really nutty muesli is great! In fact, might have some now! Didn't care much for the high fibre one though.

Where does the sugar come from in your cereals?

Everyone needs a little bit of sugar in their diet. Nearly all the sugar found in our recipes comes from the naturally occurring sugars in the fruit and provides essential fuel for the brain and energy for daily activities. We pride ourselves on the high fruit, nuts and seeds content of our recipes and it’s due to this that we have naturally higher levels of sugar (fruit sugar). However, a very small amount of our recipes actually contain sugar-infused fruit. That's not a bad sugar story really. Does anybody eat jam? Jam is 60% or more sugar, that's high sugar.

In another post somebody mentioned lidl muesli. I think that must have been a joke, the lidl is like sawdust.

gave them to my 6 year old boy this morning and believe me he eats all cereal!
he had one spoon and left the bowl!
must be horrible for him to leave it.

* Super Cranberry, Cherry & Almond Muesli is awesome, I use it on top of my wheat biscuits and mini wheats, as it's a bit pricey as an everyday cereal.

Must try and pop round there tomorrow to pick some up (only 4 minutes walk away, but I bet I still forget).

Haven't tried the big raisins one, will try that one next time. Surprised so many people don't like this brand of cereal. I really REALLY like it.

I like the Dorset range of cereals. However, I don't agree with:

That may be the normal price charged for them in Waitrose, but in Tescos you can buy the 800g box of cherries and berries for £2.11, that is without any special offers.
