The Wire has been around this price on Amazon for ages. I got this from Amazon for £17.97 back in March, so it's hardly gone down that much.

I must confess that i've struggled a bit with it. There's a lot of aimless loitering around and surveillance with unintelligible street talk. I got through the first few disks a few months ago but will try and pick it up again.

Yes, he does an incredible performance. He's not just English, he's a posh public school boy who attended Eton and went on to do well at university. A world away from the character that he portrays.

The Wire is by far the best series ever. I have watched The Soprano's, The West Wing etc and nothing compares.

If you buy one series this year make sure it is this.

Omar is the best. Did you know that Snoop got the part after being spotted in a bar by Bubbles? She also did time in real life for murder.

The first three series have generally been this price on most websites for a while but never the less an absolute steal at this price.
