Tesco Travel Money ...and club card points.. good exchange rate

STARTS: 13/07/2008   

Just popped into my local big tesco and as I need some euros for next week, for me Jolly hols etc, I spoke to the nice girl in the tesco exchange booth( not sure if all big tescos have them)

The deal is purchase over £250 in foreign currency and you get club card points, and the exchange rate was 1.218, no commission. mmm I thought , but no cash on me at the moment, so I asked about doing it on the plastic mate.. well some banks charge you £5.. but then the best bit.." do you have a tesco`s credit card, as they dont chargeat all" result as I have one...

So good rate... No charge on my credit card .. and club card points too .. to be exchanged for airmiles .. top result and on a sunday too.

"pay with your tesco credit card and you can make the most of the interest free period and NO cash advance fee"

as I pay it off at the end of the month .. no interest

I rang Tesco Finance and they said you only get Clubcard points if you use a Tesco credit card.
Dog_cop, can you confirm that you were offered Clubcard points without using the credit card?
Is it an in-store only promotion?
