I went into Poundstretcher (Exeter) today and at the till saw they had these phones. My mum needs a new one so I thought heh £6.99 ain't bad! These come with a Virgin SIM but are unlocked so will take any SIM card. It is dual band so won't work in the US, but should be fine around most of Europe, so great if you are going on holiday abroad!

If you haven't heard of the F3 before it is just a phone, with basic text messaging abilities. It calls, it texts, and it doesn't do much else! It has a high visibility OLED display and voice prompting so is great for people with limited technical ability (i.e. my mum!).

They are fine as a way of talking to someone who is too far away to hear you if you shout (simple, long battery life, good sound quality). 8 characters per screen means they aren't so hot if you're into texting.

Best phone ever for some and worst phone ever for some. This is a sign of a design genius who has absolutely got the features required by the few who are usually ignored by the other designers. Well done! I am looking for its Version 2 with more functions but still keeping the same features and basic layout.

Since Pounstretcher & Instore are effectively the same company then this deal is the same as the Instore deal of a month ago. That generated a lot of love / hate feelings for this little phone.

No it is not 3G or 3D or even 3A - it makes and receives calls and that's what a phone is for, but youngsters hate it because it's not trendy.
